A fable about the birth of rock 'n' roll.  1950s Alabama, the proprietor of the Honeydripper lounge is deep in debt and losing customers.  Desperate, he decides to sack his long-time blues singer and hire the famour 'Guitar Sam', for a one night only gig to save the club.  The only problem is that he has no money to pay him, doesn't know where to find him or if he will turn up.
