Set during WW2, a story seen through the innocent eyes of 8-year old Bruno, the son of a commandant at a concentration camp.  His forbidden friendship with a Jewish boy on the other side of the wire has startling consequences for all concerned.

Ghastly.  Horrible contrivance, unconvincing nazis speaking 21st Century English.  Actos seemed so self conscious.
