Haverfordwest Film Society is one of Britain's most successful film societies, with well over 100 members and a range of film screenings to satisfy even the keenest of cinema buffs. The venue for our meetings is The Merlin Theatre in Haverfordwest. Our society is part of The British Federation of Film Societies' Welsh Group.

The 2008-09 film season will start on September 4th

Our first film is Tell No-one (Ne le dis a personne), a French film by Guillaume Canet, highly acclaimed by critics.

The rest of the film programme is on the diary page, with further details just a click away.

MEMBERSHIP AND COST:

Full membership is just £36.00 (£32 concs.) for 24 films from September 2008 to April 2009. Half-season membership is also available for the 12 films shown between January and March 2009 at £18, or £16 for concessions.

Everyone is very welcome and single evening membership tickets are available at the box office on the night (£4, £2 students with an NUS card). If you have a query about membership, please use our contact page to email Joy, our Treasurer.

HOW TO FIND US:

Go to Pembrokeshire College's Haverfordwest campus (click here for a map and directions); there is ample free secure parking, and the Merlin Theatre is well-signposted once you pass through the main entrance. There is full access for wheelchairs, and an audio loop for hearing aid users.

We are a very friendly group of film-lovers and one of our attractions is the licensed Merlin Theatre Bar (open from 6.30 pm), where members and friends can gather for a coffee and a chat before the films begin.

I look forward to greeting you on your next visit.
